Step by step
Sign in with a code from email
You enter your email address and type in a 6-digit code. There's no password to remember.
Create a Secret Spin or a Wishlist
In a Secret Spin you set the exchange date and the amount range; on a list you add items with a price and link.
Invite the group
You paste the link in a chat or add people from a list. Everyone joins with a name and email by typing in a one-time code.
Draw or reservations
In a Secret Spin everyone spins the wheel and sees only their own result. On a list, guests reserve gifts and chip in for bigger ones.
Gift exchange
Before the date yay.gift asks buyers whether the gift is already bought, and after the party - how it went.
Secret Spin: a draw with hidden matches
Each person spins the wheel and gets one person to give a gift to, never themselves. Only they know the result; the organizer sees progress but not matches. The group picks the gift amount: everyone suggests an amount within the organizer's range and the median wins. Recipients can choose a category, answer questions about size or color and write a hidden wish that AI turns into a riddle for the buyer.
Wishlist: reservations and group gifts
The organizer adds items and sees how many pieces are free. Guests reserve gifts with one tap, and reservations are counted on the server, so two people can't buy the last piece. Guests can chip in for pricier items: the amount splits itself and the transfer or BLIK goes straight to the buyer.
What yay.gift does for the organizer
- sends invitations at the time you choose, with personal links too
- starts the draw at the set date once the required part of the group has confirmed
- reminds those who haven't confirmed or haven't spun
- handles drop-outs: whoever drew the person who left spins again
- asks buyers before the date whether the gift is already bought
