An online gift wishlist where nobody doubles up

A Wishlist in yay.gift is a simple way for guests to know what to buy and not buy the same thing twice. You create the list, share a link and guests reserve items. You see what's already taken, but not who is buying what, so the surprise stays.

How to create a gift wishlist

  • You create a Wishlist and add items: a name, quantity (up to 99), price and a shop link.
  • You can use gift suggestions for the occasion and add a note for guests, e.g. about sizes.
  • You share the link in a chat or a message. A guest enters a name and email, types in a one-time code and sees the list.
  • A guest reserves a gift with one tap - single pieces too, when an item is needed in several.

Reservations without duplicates

Reservations are counted on the server, piece by piece. If two people reach for the last one at the same moment, only one gets it and the other sees right away that nothing is left. That way no birthday ends with three identical building sets.

A guest can release a reservation if they change their mind - the item goes back on the list for others.

The organizer doesn't know who is buying

For each item the organizer only sees how many pieces are still free. Only the guest knows what they reserved. So you can create a list for yourself or your child and still be surprised when unwrapping.

A bigger gift? Group gift

For pricier items you tick "Chip in together". Guests join the group gift and each gets their share and the bank transfer or BLIK details of the person who buys. yay.gift doesn't handle payments - the money goes straight to the buyer.

A riddle from the guest

A guest can make a riddle about their gift: AI turns the item name into a riddle and the organizer gets three guesses at what they'll receive. They still won't find out who the gift is from.

Which occasions

A Wishlist works wherever many guests buy a gift for one person or a couple: birthdays and name days, first communions, weddings, housewarmings or a new baby. Each list has its own link, so you can run several at once, e.g. one for each child.
